Seethai Achi School, with a proud history of over 85 years, currently serves around 120 students. In the past, the school had an enrollment of 600 students. However, like Alagammai Achi School in Pallathur, the rise of English medium schools and the decreasing interest from parents in Tamil medium education have led to a decline in student numbers. The school continues to offer education in Tamil, the regional language, as it is the only way to secure financial assistance from the local government for its maintenance. Despite these challenges, the school remains an integral part of the community and holds a special place in the hearts of the villagers. Our trust has contributed by providing a computer for the school and distributing school bags with the school’s logo to all students.
